About Us – Black Voter Power

OUR PURPOSE

The Black Voter Power initiative was founded in 2020 to increase voter turnout as well as help Black voters make informed decisions based on issues and policies that advance the Black agenda when participating in national, state, and local elections.

Our CORE TENETS



VOTER PARTICIPATION

Our voter participation efforts include increasing voter registration and driving voter turnout through strategic engagement and by sharing up-to-date election information.



POLICY ADVOCACY

We provide data-driven policy recommendations on key issues that affect the Black community and supporting questions that voters can present to their candidates.



CANDIDATE OUTREACH

We collect policy positions through candidate outreach and forums to give voters clarity on where candidates stand on issues impacting the Black community.



POST-ELECTION ENGAGEMENT

The work doesn't end with the election. Once elected officials take office, we must hold them accountable through continued engagement.
